Pacific Media is proud to announce they have been selected as a Platinum Award recipient in the Hermes Creative Awards 2008 competition and a Bronze Award recipient in the 2008 Summit Creative Awards for outstanding creativity in interactive media.
SANTA CLARA, CA -- Pacific Media, a media production company based in Silicon Valley, has received multiple honors for “Chevron Global Aviation Fuel Integrity 101,” a web-based, interactive training program they developed for client, Chevron Global Aviation.
Platinum Hermes Creative Award, Interactive Media Category
Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept to completion production of traditional and emerging media. The competition rewards excellence that provides a benchmark for the industry. Judges from the Association of Marketing and Communication, selected Pacific Media for the Platinum Award, (their highest honor), from over 4,000 entries submitted worldwide.
Summit Creative Award
The Summit Creative Award was established to recognize and celebrate the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized creative companies throughout the world (annual billings under $30 million). Pacific Media’s work was evaluated based on the strength of their big idea, the quality of execution and their ability to communicate and persuade. The competition’s set of rigorous evaluative criteria has established the Summit Creative Awards as the key arbiter of creativity and excellence for this sector.
About the Winning Entry
“Chevron Global Aviation Product Integrity 101” is a web-based interactive training program designed to help Chevron Global Aviation ensure proper fuel handling practices at their affiliated Field Base Operations (FBO’s) worldwide. To engage students throughout five hours of content rich instruction, Pacific Media simulated an airplane cockpit dashboard to create a fun and dynamic user-interface. An FBO operation character, as the course guide, provides a humorous way to engage the user. Plus, a series of comedic scenarios underscore best practices.
“Pacific Media has been a truly great group to work with,” noted Tom Stephens, Chevron Global Aviation. “I choose to work with people who allow creativity, who bring out of the box perspectives and tools to the table, and really brainstorm what can be done. The Pacific Media team brings the whole perspective about what technology is out there, whether it will work or not, and then they create a story around the information that will really engage our identified audience. “
Dave Goncher, Operations Training Coordinator of Global Supply & Trading for Chevron Global Aviation, commented,” It’s been a joy working with Pacific Media. I know that they fit the bill for us, and we plan to use them more in the future. Pacific Media seems to have the know-how and the expertise to do just about anything. “
“To be recognized for our creativity is truly an honor,” said Karen Nelson, President of Pacific Media. “It’s a tribute to our entire team and an exciting validation of Pacific Media’s ability to provide outstanding creativity in the arena of concept to completion media solutions. Earning these awards is the ultimate confirmation of the quality and creativity of our team and the Pacific Media product.”
